The story of Crypto Boy kicks off in Amsterdam East, where young deliveryman Amir dreams of a better future but gets no further than delivering orders for Burrito, his father Omar's outdated Mexican restaurant. Convenience stores are being replaced by trendy coffee bars, sushi shops and fitness studios ...。明治中期，九州赌徒帮派矢野组组长被人暗杀，其独女龙子（藤纯子 饰）解散帮会，以父亲尸体旁遗落的钱包为线索四处寻找凶手。龙子怀揣小太刀，五年间走遍全国各地的赌场，因出色的赌技而赢得“红牡丹阿龙”的绰号。 在岩国某赌场，龙子拆穿庄家作弊手段，引起纠纷，幸得流浪赌徒片桐（高仓健 饰）出手相助。与片桐分手后，龙子得知曾见过杀手容貌的阿新的下落，遂启程寻找，并在道后与熊虎组组长虎吉（若山富三郎 饰）结为兄妹。经熊虎推荐，龙子和阿新前往拜会大阪千成一家第二代首领加仓井（大木实 饰），却偶然在此得知真相……。
